Hi

i got bolivian ram pair and a couple of minutes ago i saw them kissing and then they lip locked for a few seconds. is this breeding or are they fighting.
and if they do have eggs or fry do i have to remove my fish(see sig) or will they take cae of the fry?

and help would be good

Sounds like they be be fighting.

A problem I see with your tank is most of the fish you have are middle/bottom dwellers. These include the B'nose cats., 5 rams, 3 keyholes and your two clown loaches (which should be kept in groups of three). It would be a good idea to spread the fish out so each feels a little more comfortble and has it's own territory to take refuge in.

:)

thanx for the info ;)
well im trading in my clowns today and im seeing if i can get any other fish with mine.

can anyone give suggestions on what i can get for my tank

IMO, a gourami would be a great addition to your tank. A species like the Three-spot Gourami, Trichogaster trichopterus would be a good one to consider. Or a group of tetras like Neons, cardinals, Black Phantoms, Red Phantoms...and the list goes on

:)

guppys?

cuz i no a person hoos tank is preety stocked with guppys and i wanna see if they can go with my fish or will the rams be too agresive

Guppies would be ok with the ram but if you want to breed them, your tank isn't exactly the ideal location for them  with all those rams/cats scavanging food at the bottom.

:)

koool

k i got too many fry to care about breeding now so im gonna put them in

k well i got the guppys and put them in.

bad news. i had to put all the males into my 20 gal cuz my key holes and my mollys were nipping at there fins so i got about 15 female guppys in my 30 gal but im giving them to 2 of my friends at school hoo i have got into the fish buisness :p

my key holes and my mollys were nipping at there fins

Thats odd, keyholes are an extremly peaceful species, i would have thought there would be no trouble at all, oh well, just shows each fish is different

yep they sure are different

BAD BAD KEY HOLES. NAUGHTY PAIR:sly:

the guy at the lfs said they do get agresive but only in breeding  -_-

most cichlids get aggresive when breeding, it's the one of the things cichlids do best, care for their young

heheh kool then..

GOOD GOOD KEY HOLES! GOOD PAIR!

i got rid of the guppys and put 4 baloon mollys in. is this a problem or will it be okay?
