Bolivian Rams

I got two of these today. I aimed for a male and a female but they all looked the same. I can't see breeding tubes but they both have anal fins almost touching their tails. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. My question is, if they do both turn out to be males, will they be ok together as they are?

how big is the tank?

A 3 foot tank will normally happily house 2 males. There may be some slight bickering/chasing, but nothing lethal.

Even if you got a male and female, there is no guarentee that they will pair, and then the above will also apply.

Thanks ZoddyZod. The tank is a Juwel Rio 180, I don't have the measurements handy. It's early days but so far all seems well.

Ooo ooo can I butt in please.....in a 125l is it ok to keep 2 GBRs with 2 Bolivians (obviously with other fish too). If they were all female? Or if they weren't?

A bit small for all of txem, not to mention xerman blue rams like a xixxer temp txan bolivians. If you ask me, not a xood idea.

Thanks. I'm just playing with ideas right now until I actually get my 125. I've already got 1 GBR (did have 2, the other died) so I'm just playing with ideas of what to do really.

Txe tank temp for txem rests at about 82 dexrees F, so youre a bit limited, no world of endless possibilities for blue rams sterbai cories would work, I believe, and I txink cardinal tetras are usually kept witx discus and sucx, so txey sxould be safe too.
