Hello all, I have a 55 gallon tank.
It's well established - 2 years.
I currently have -
2 Lemon Tetras
2 Glowlight Tetras
1 Pristella Tetra
6 Assorted Danios (Zebra, Leopard, Gold)
1 ?? Gourami - I just aqquired from my friend about a month ago. More on that in a later topic.
1 Common Pleco.
5 Harlequin Rasboras.
I was thinking of getting a pair of Bolivian Rams, or, any peaceful chiclid for that matter.
Suggestions? Comments?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. :)

I'm not an expert but i'd say that bolivan rams would be fine in that tank.
Also the common plec will out grow the tank.

Why are you tetra groups so small? I would definately get more pristella; they're so gorgeous. Does your assorted group of danios swim together? Just wondering.

I know, the Pleco will be gone soon, my friend stopped fishkeeping and gave him to me along with that Gourami. I also realized that the groups are too small as I was writing this, next time I go to my LFS I will make sure to make those shoals bigger before getting any Bolivian Rams. Wendy, I know the Pristellas are gorgeous, I love mine. I used to have more but they died off and I haven't had the chance to get any new ones for awhile, my LFS rarely has them, but I just love them :).

Thank you for your help!
:D

Sorry to hear about your loss of pristellas... Sounds like you're heading in the right direction though! Good luck ;)

i have kept my bolivians with neon, black neon, and red eye tetra and now with 6 dwarf gourami, a rainbow shark and a common in a 60 gallon and they seem to get along. The most trouble there is with the rainbow and the bolivians, but i have a pair so they dont get pushed around so much. The gourami stay up higher and if you have plenty of hiding spots, i'm sure your rams will be happy :)

good luck

Are these fish sometimes known as Giant rams, there are some in my LFS, they look great and are a nice bluey colour, my LFS owner told me if I bought them they would be munching neon soup by sundown. Anyone got a pic?

Just go on google images and put in Bolivian Rams, it should come up with loads of pics.
These guys are very cool. I wouldn't think them to eat Neons. Really small ones perhaps.
To get the best colours and health keep Bolivian Rams in temps of about 30°C.

Alright, great!
I can't wait to get them sometime soon!
Thank you, again, everyone. :)
