I have a 29 gallon aquarium with 8 green corys and 8 tiger barbs. Two days ago I bought two very young bolivian rams and one of them is being chased by the barbs, the other one when the tigers are close to him he/she chase them back and defends him/herself. They are both eating well and look very healthy. Also they never swim together, but when one gets close to the other they try to ram each other (does this means they are both males?).

I heard that tigers should be kept in groups of 8+ to not bother other fishes and mine most of the time are schooling but sometimes 1or 2 get out of the group and try to nip or chase my bolivian ram. Should I up the numbers of the tiger barbs (by adding 4?) Or should I wait till the bolivians grow up? Because right now they are very young.
