Bolivian Rams And Celestial Pearl Danios

I'm doing a stocking shift and I'm wondering if my bolivian ram pair who are pretty mellow except with each other, and were raised for a while with neons can live in a 10 gallon for a while with celestial danios. I will replace the 10 gallons (10 gallons are very difficult to run) with a 20 gallon or so some time in the future say within 6 months. I have never had nor seen live the celestial danios so I don't have a good feel for size differential.

How about rams and pygmy cories? Rams are about a year old.

whats the footprint? long term ud want 24x12 footprint minimum for rams. they are fairly placid fish and should be fine temporarily in a smallish tank. cant comment on danios

I have Rams, Pygmys and Celestials in my 80 litre cube. They all get along fine. Just make sure you get some well established plants in there for the CPDs or they'll not be happy.

I'd not want your stocking of Rams, Pygmys and CPDs in the 10 gallon for long - you'll need bi-weekly 50% W/Cs to keep the stats clear.

In the 20 gallon they'll be fine so long as there is good filtration. I have 2 Rams, 10 CPDs and 8 Pygmys in my 24 gallon (and 4 otos and 3 trilineaus corys) but I have an Eheim 2224 and the built in sump at the back of the tank to keep it clean. (All in all about 15 litres of filter capacity with over 4 litres of bioceramic and over 10x turnover).
