as the title says can you put them same tank,i already have two bolivian rams in the tank and a trio of apistos,
it's a juwel rio 125.

cheers

You can keep Bolivians and normal Rams together, but I wouldn't put any more cichlids in yours; 5 is enough in a 125l. They all occupy similar areas in the tank and need to be able to have their space.

You'll just have to get another tank ;)

think i might get rid of the bolivians, never see them, and they always seem to be having a go at each other.

think the wife might divorce me if i get another tank!!!!

cheers

it wouldnt be wise to keep both together the blues need 28C and higher

i have been reading about this, but surely the blue rams are able to adjust to a wider temp range with all the breeding of them,i don't think the fish shops that sell them will have them at 28c,though i might be wrong, and i would imagine sometimes it could take a long time to sell them on,its just my tank has the ideal ph for them, usually sits betwwen 6 and 6.5

Most people who don't keep them at 28C have them fine for a few months then start to lose them i myself have had this problem in the past. At the moment i have a pair in my discus tank and have spawn twice and are doing really well.

My GBRs have been in 26C / 7.6 pH for 3 months and have spawned quite a few times... I think as long as the water is kept to a high standard (good filtration and weekly WC), they'll get on fine.
