Would a Bolivian Ram be OK with 4 or 5 (small but not pygmy) Cory cats and 6 or so Dwarf Neon Rainbow fish? Planted 20g (32x12x12) tank, with rocks/caves/wood, so hidey-holes available. Would anybody feel too stressed or lacking in territory? Too overcrowded?

None of these fish actually exist yet - other than in my head ( or the lfs, obviously )

Another question - if at some later point, stocking levels/bigger tank permitting I wanted to have two Bolivian Rams, would I be better to factor that into my stocking levels and choice of fish in the first place? Or will s/he be only too delighted to find a mate has arrived on the scene at last ? I do know not to put two males together. However, judging from the number of threads on the subject, people do seem to have some difficulty in sexing BRs - so if I got it wrong, and put two females together, would they fight? Ignore each other? Just be very disappointed?

TIA

Id say you would be ok. Cory are harmless as is the Ram. My concern would be fin nipping by the fast Rainbows. I got rid of mine because of the very same problem. If you do consider adding a 2nd Ram you need to sex the one you have and get the opposite sex. Ie 1 male and 1 female as 2 males generally fight!
