Hi, I have a slight dilemma.

I bought "what I thought" were 2 juvenile Bolivian Rams, but it turns out that I have one MALE Bolivian and one FEMALE GBR. (they weren't as colourful when I first got them..)

My PH is between 7-7.5, and the temperature is at around 78F, however I am aware that they prefer softer acidic water.

Both rams seem to get on with eachother fine, with the exception of some occasional nudging/ramming by the male, and they happily swim around the tank following eachother all day. The GBR has never lost it's colour and seems perfectly fine.

However, after reading up on the GBR's requirements, I'm a little worried and wondering if I should maybe take the GBR back and exchange it for a couple of female Bolivians if my conditions aren't suffient for it.

Any advice is much appreciated, Thanks.

I would swap it for the Bolivians :) German Blue rams need high temperatures and low ph. Where as bolivians are more community water friendly.

Ok thanks for the replies, I'll call to my LFS on the way home from work and get a bag to take it back in. Then I'll have the impossible task of catching it tomorrow afternoon before returning her.

I was swaying towards the "taking it back" option to be honest, as the fishes wellfare is my main priority.

Thanks guys (and girls)
