Bogwood

as the title suggests, never had a problem with this, but now my bogwood has a patch of brown on it which will rub off, but also noticed some green dots too.

all water stats are tip top and never lost a fish for a few months now (since having filter problems)

anyone shed some light?

brown algae is common in new tanks, and green algae can be a sign of too much light.

well tbh its only just started, and come to think of it its only since i replaced the bulb which had gone from a sun glo bulb to a bulb which makes blues and greens stand out more(has a kinda purple tint to it).

so what shud i do?
scrub it off or leave it and
is it safe?
