hmm about a month have noticed over lat couple of days, was saoked and boiled b4 that as well

odd..but in general, decomposing matter gives off CO2 and methane (i believe, although i am no expert) ....keep an eye especially on the pH to see if it is affected...also check other parameters and keep up on the water changes just in case it may be methane or the likes, which can be fatal (which i doubt it is, so dont get worried)
