will the dye out of bog wood harm the fish?it has been soaked but obviously not all the dye has come out?

No bogwood dye does not harm the fish, but dependent on the fish you keep bogwood lowers your PH, it is best suited to south american cichlids as it is found in there natural habitat, you just have ti make sure it does not lower the PH too far. Plecos also love this to snack on as well as mopani wood

Learn to love it! Stained water is a natural environment for many fish and IMO enhances their colours, especially for South American fish. Tetras in particular look their best with live plants and tannins in the water. Depending on the fish of course, I find a crystal clear tank sometimes looks sterile and unnatural.
