Over the last week or so i've noticed a small white spot appear on the lip of my pearl danios, and i'm not sure if its fungus or not. It doesn't seem to be bothering him much as he's still swimming around and eating quite normally. Should i wait and see if it gets any worse (it's still a very small spot), or just treat the tank with some kind of anti-fungal medication. If i dont treat it now will it spread to the other fish? - Not sure what to do ! :dunno:

Ideally, of course, you would isolate this fish in an attempt to treat it and keep the others healthy. If that is not an option (small "hospital" tank), you could try waiting, although that is risky, or you could treat the whole tank.

Myself, I would probably get some advice on the best med for ich or body fungus, and I would use a low dosage initially since the infection doesn't seem severe -- that way there is less impact on the rest of the tank. But if you go that route, first remove any carbon you have in your filter. You can use carbon to purify the tank again once all the fish are healthy.

HTH.
