I posted some time ago about my female bn not being herself. Over the past 6 months i have lost every bn i have ever had in my 70L tank. This has been running for about a year now and all the water parameters are spot on. I do a weekly 15% water change and gravel vac.

The female bn seems to be far less active than she was when i originally got her (about 3 months ago). I feed her algae wafers and also put cucumber in the tank occasionally. To clarify there has been nothing new added to the tank for 3 months (she was the most recent new comer!) Other inhabitants are 8 tiger barbs and 3 neon tetras. I have posted some pics of her stomach as i think that she looks bloated. I have recently treated with anti-bac med and double dosed on this. My previous plec had all these symptoms and was dead within a week, however she has been like this for 3 weeks now.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? You can see on one of this pics that she is managing to poo so i dont think it is constipation. Please help

What colour is the poo.
You have tryed everything to save her and it hasn't made a difference.
All I can think of is internal parasites, I lost all ny plecs to internal parasites, they would bloat up.

I cant tell what her horizontal profile looks like, but from that angle her profile looks like a healthy plump female.

If you can - try to get a pic side on ;)

You might like to up the oxygenation on the tank if your treating with meds - that might be part of the problem.

Russell, thanks for the comments. She does seem to be a lot less active and now spends long periods in the same spot - hence i managed to actually get a decent pic of her. Would this seem normal? When i first got her and she was smaller, she was always busy cleaning the tank etc.

The tank is pretty well oxygenated already with the filter creating a lot of water disturbance and a separate air pump in the tank as well.

Both my Bristlenose Plecs hardly move at all, only when i drop courgette in do i see them for any time at all.
