As the post says really.

My BN have had a healthy batch of fry and the second lot are venturing out the cave.

If you fancy some healthy young BN from a well maintained heavily planted tank they are free for collection.

If you fancy giving me some beer money or even better a can or two that'll be welcome!!

I live in Bishops Waltham Hampshire, very easy to get to via the M3 or M27.

We will have to catch the little buggers when you arrive but a cup of tea will be ready.

If your interested please drop me a PM
Thanks

Simon

dude i messed up big time

cleaning out the fry tank i took the ornament out of it and because of all the snails i checked it all over and scraped all the snails off of it, then i run it under the tank in the bath because there was no way there was a fish on it.......but that Bn i got off you a few weeks back was hiding in a little nook or cranny and the inevitable happened as i rinse the ornament under the tank off fell the Bn and with a bucket in one hand and an ornament in the other its quite difficult to stop yourself from watching your favourite fry from swimming down the plughole.

why do these things happen the one time you forget to do something?

also i have loads of little egg sacks with eggs in them is it possible they are the cherrys if not that means they are the snails meaning im going to be cleaning snails out for a VERY long time?

are you still posting the Bns if so i will need to take 1 or two a bit bigger than i got before basically to stop this tragedy happening again

NO!!!! Mate i'm gutted for you!! My poor BN!!!

The only good thing is the cold water would have stunned it before its trip into the sewer :(

Yes, i have lots left!!!

I'm concerned about posting in the cold weather but i guess if the box is stuffed with Shredded paper and i put the heat pack nearer it should be ok.

What i might do is send with more water, this will mean postage will be £6.80 odd, To be 100% honest i need a new lighting controller from my Albino grow out tank so need to raised £21!! Come on people help Simon raise the cash!!!

How about £10 for 2 Bn's, i'll send you two larger babies?

oh my god!

what went down the bath looked like the baby Bn but i think it was a black molly fry because as i looked in my tanks lid filter i saw it sucking to the roof of the filter it must have swam up into there as i have found about 3 more platy fry in there!

so the Bn is fine but i lost a molly which is sad but also a relief as i have about 60 of them!

im really happy now! except fro my betta loss this morning

but if you have any more of those Bns about the size of that previous one i would take 2 depending on the price

cheers oh and PM methe reply

i lost loads of fry bns that was in my filter went down the drain in my first time i had fry from my breeding pair of bns now i always wash every thing in a bucket lol always learn the hard away lol
this was when i first started out abt 15yrs ago

Its the biggest pain in the ass cleaning my fluval 305. I empty it into a massive net which catches about 3-5 Bn fry and dozens of cherrie shrimps every time! This then gets gently lowered to the bottom of my main tank so they can escape. Its a royal pain but i don't have the heart to rinse the cherries down the sink!

I won't even go into my internal jewel filter.......

the Bn is in my fry tank which is 40l with my livebearer fry and cherry shrimp, why you ask?

to every1...never clean stuff out under a tap...use the water from the tank in a clear bucket so u can see if there are any fish or plecs...then u can catch them...put them bak in the tank and throw away the water.

yea i know i messed up  but i had so many snails and they were breeding in the air hole of the ornament so it was boiled water poured in the holes and the fish(it was a molly in the end) decided it wanted to fall off the ornament(before the boiled water) in the one second i had the ornament in my hand with my back turned.

any ways sorry if i was hijacking the thread there tacklebury.
