I went to my LFS the other day and an employee rushed me over to a tank and says we just got these in theyre blueberry oscars. I was like ive never heard of such a thing, she was like there a new species. Im not sure if she was right, i dont think she was lol. However they were like tiger oscars only they had a bluesh gray color to them instead of orange. Anyone heard of these, is there such a thing?

Hi, I did a search on google and one site says they are dipped instead of dyed. Either way they are not natural and have been coloured for sale.

I know, very few stores in the UK stock dyed or dipped fish but it is still a problem elsewhere!

Also fould this:

Albino morphs of the Oscar are being painted to produce Blue Oscars, Red Oscars (though there is also a Red Oscar that is not painted), Yellow Oscars, Blueberry Oscars, Gold Oscars (though I understand that there is also a Gold Oscar that is not painted, but has a more yellowish tint to the normal salmon to orange colouration) and Purple Oscars.
