Blue Tak

Is blue tak (or white-tak) OK for use in tanks???
Because I cannot get my airstone to stay at the bottom of the tank...

Why don't you invest in some of them suction cups that you clip the tube in and then stick it to the side of the tank! Thats what I did!

I can't see blue tak or white tak being much help in the tank! Or you could just lodge it behind something or if you have some small rocks use them to keep it in place

I certainly wouldn't use blue tak in my tanks. I recommend buying some suction cups from your LFS to hold the airline in place, that way the stone should be unable to move.

What size is it? I thought most tubes to airstones where about the same size (rough guess .5cm)?

The suction cup just keeps the tube in place which then in turn keeps the airstone from moving!

Have you tried just lodging it behind something until you can get some suction cups that fit your tube?

there's very little to lodge it behind - i've taken it out because it was making to much water movement for my guppies to handle anyway.

Its a shame you couldnt bury it under the gravel! That might have dispersed the bubbles a bit also!

I'm just thinking of random things you could have tried sorry! Also don't you have a pump which has adjustable settings for your airstones?
