Should be fine, males should be ok if there is enough territory for each

Tank size is fine but a sand substrate is essential as they're earth eaters, 28oC-32oC temperature advised, it will prolong their life and make them less prone to disease, just make sure that your GH levels are low and the same with your nitrate levels.

ok, thanks. I was going to get a sand substrate anyway due to other fish, but i never knew that the rams needed sand as well. Cool
