hey people just a quick question ide like answering if possible

ive got 4 blue rams in my community tropical tank and they have been in there for about 5 months and i have not seem them grow in size one bit since having them?? are they slow growing fish??

i am currently feeding them on bloodworms and daphnia is there anyting else you would recommend feeding them on to prehaps encourage them to grow a little as they look so much more prettier when grown up.

thanks alot

craig

3 of them are about 1 1/2 inches and 1 is about an inch??? they have got some blue and red colour to them but not to the extend i have seem in some pictures???

The colour and size, well being of the fish, depends on where they were bred and what water params you are keeping them in

What size is the tank, and what else do you keep in it. Also, what are your water stats? You could try feeding them beef heart once a week, but other than that i couldnt think of anything else. Also,, they arent very fast growers.

Maybe you have Balloon Rams? 1.5 inches is about as big as they get. Just a thought. I also noticed that they kind of are slow growing fish. It took mine about 3 months before my male had his dorsal rays extended longer than the females. That is 3 months after I purchased them.

Also it would take at least 3 months from birth to be nice enough to sell, thats if they have been fed enough and with a proper food. If they haven't then they might never recover that critical growing stage and could always stay small

Yeah it kind of sucks since they are so delicate and do not even live long anyways. They are so cool looking though so it makes up for it.

thanks for all the replys people.....i guess ill just have to wait and see how they are then lol
