So I originally purchased 4 german blue rams for my 75 gallon

From the very first couple of days, the largest ram which I was unsure if it was male or female has seemed to pair up with my smallest but best looking female.

The other two I believe are a male and female but they spend no time together. Actually the male seems to be hiding all of the time which is why I will be rehoming him.

Any advice on my other female? Yesterday my pair seemed to be getting an area ready to breed, the female was spending a lot of time defending and cleaning off a little pot in my tank.

Whenever the other female gets close, the paired female gets aggressive towards the other female and chases her off. Other then that she generally doesn't attack the other female.

I was just watching my tank and I noticed the paired male was chasing the lonely female and I saw them swimming next to each other and she was showing the underside of her belly to the male. The male kept swimming near her then he started chasing her and nipping at her I believe. What does this mean? haha

Now the original pair is right next to each other like always.

Should I get rid of the other rams, the female and male?

What do you think?

Sounds like one pair is getting ready to breed which means you'll most likely have to get rid of the other 2 as when the pair breeds they will get aggressive in defending and the other 2 rams will be their first targets.

That was what I was thinking. the two that paired happen to me my two favorite rams but I will be sad to let the others go.

I think a friend of my sister's is going to take them in her tank.

Awesome, at least you'll still get to see them :)
