Blue Ram Problem

Well I've had them for about 4 months and they've spawned 4-6 times but in the past 3-4 weeks they haven't spawned any babies. The male keeps chasing the female around and they don't seem to show any mating rituals what-so-ever. Why would something like this happen?

I don't know about rams but most male cichlids try and test the females before breeding.I think after a while of lip locking (this is what my GS do anway) they get fed up and try to swim away.
