I recently purchased 2 blue rams which I believe to be a pair. I'm not 100% sure but one has a pinkish belly and the other has small blue dots in the big black spot.

Anyway, the male seems to be chasing the female all the time, causing her to cower in a corner. I even tried putting food right on top of her but she doesn't seem to want to eat. What's happening here, should I separate them asap or wait a little longer and hopefully they'll get along?

Wait abit longer unless she looks distressed, make sure there are plenty of places to hide and plants help so they can swim around the plants without being noticed they divide the tank up abit.Is the tank big enough for them to have there own space? Mine were like this for a couple of months till they settled down to wedded bliss.

If they're in a 55g, that's plenty of space, so just make sure the female has enough places where she can hide. Give them a bit to settle in to their new place and see how they do.

2 females are more aggressive than male+female or 2 males?

Btw it's too late. Found one ram dead this morning. It's so annoying. The other one seems to be happily swimming around the tank. Doesn't seem stressed out so I don't think there's a problem with my water quality, etc.

Could have been the dead one was sick or stressed, i've seen fish pick on the sick guy before.

They were probably the same sex. Both a pinkish belly and blue dots in the black spot are both characteristics of females. I don't think that the male will kill the female too often, usually he will just chase her and not even nip a fin if he does not like her. However I have seen my females get into real fights and tear some gill plate off.
