Fish Fanatic
i recently bought two blue gouramis, and i believe i have a male and a female (i've looked up a lot of info since i'm just starting off with this tank)
anyways i was wondering if there is any ways to tell the difference between male and female, so far all i've found is that the female has a rounder stomach, and a shorter, rounder fin, while the male is a little more slenter, with a longer, more pointed fin.
also, my, what i believe to be, male seems to have changed colours since i got him, he went from a basic, bright blue, with small spots on the fins, like the (what i believe to be) female, to a what seems to be, zebra stripe like colour, with the same colour belly, and man colour, but with very dark blue stripes, and also, the spots on his fins have seemed to double in size, and i noticed he's showing a lot more colours than before (i've read that their bottom fins change with their moods)
Any idea on what could have happened?
also, he has been very jumpy, swimming from one side of the tank to the other, very fast, and then "freaking out" in the corner, luckly he's calm now though, just wondering if there's something i can do
