As far as I'm aware, the blue platy is just a colour morph of the ordinary platy- check out the pinned topics in the livebearer section. Keep in ratios of 2-3 females per male, gestation period c. 4 weeks, protect fry by floating plants or place fry in breeding trap after birth (they have to be released after a week or two), feed on crushed flakes or babyfood. Platies in general benefit from a good mixed diet of flakes, livefood and vegetables (peas, broccoli etc).
