i have space for 2 lighting tubes in my tank, it is a tropical fish tank with platties etc....

can i add one normal tube and one that has the blue light effect? i think they are called moon ligjhts......

I think a moonlight and a blue tube a bit different. I could be wrong but normally the marine tanks use a blue light as well as a white light to create the same colour range as the sea.

I was thinking of adding a blue tube to my tank for the looks but I'm not sure.

Moonlights normally arent as bright as look pretty amazing, got any pictures of yours stevie?

weel yesterday i went out and got a blue acintic tube and added to my juwel.

i have one clear and one blue light now. they work wonders together, i normally have blue light on in the evening.

i'd recommend doing this as its alot cheaper and alot less fiddlier than them moonlight kits!

I have 2 white and 1 blue light. I use the blue light in the morning before the white come on as well (then the blue goes off) and at night before the white go off.

Looks great IMO and also makes nocturnal fish more active with it being dusky.
