If you haven't already, you may try turning the tank lights off. I always do this whenever I add new fish. It eases the stress of the new fish and they seem to sneak in a little easier. What kind of fish did you add? I'm not familiar with Joannis, so someone more experienced may be able to give advice on that.

its an malawi eye eater,,or eye biter,,,,i got told a the local pet shop they would be ok with blue joanni,,,,these fish grow big,,and is only in my tank,,till my new 100 gallon arrives,,,,i did turn the lights out,,,but this blue joanni is just attacking and chasing all the time,,,

You may try taking out and rearranging all the rocks/decor, that way the johanni will be occupied setting up new territories and hopefully ignore the new addition. :good:

Sorry to hear that, but sometimes that's the way it goes with cichlids.
