I had a small desaster happend to me on Friday. I never come home from lunch and I was working not too far from home ao I decided to make a pit stop at home. I got home to find that my protein skimmer had malfunctionned and was now ejecting water on to the floor, down the cold air return onto the TV in the basement. After mixing 13 Gallon of salt water and ripping off the sheet rock my Blue hippo tang has been hidding.

He used to come out when I was feeding, but not anymore. I could seem him behind the rocks(just a shadow), so I tought he might have been stuck when I replaced the rock up higher, but he wasn't. How long should I wait before starting to panic? Is there anyway I can make him come out?

Thanx

How long has he beem hiding? My hippo tang usually hides whenever i work on the tank or around it, coming out the next day. You could try clipping algae sheets to feeding clips and see how that works. I would just give him time though.

Well it's been about two days now, but I did do a lot of work around and in the tank. I guess patience is the key here at this point. I will go buy a veggie clip and some dried up veggies. Is there anything you recommend for veggies? I know it pretty much come down the the personal preference of the fish.

Thanx

He was just out so I threw a whole bunch of dryed up food in ther. I guess he is doing well

Lol, tangs can take more than a couple days to acclimate fully, give him time :D
