Blue Has Dropsy!

My poor girl has a bad case of Dropsy. She is very swollen and has lost most of her coloring. What do I do? Bling survived Dropsy once but I caught it the second I noticed it, I had not looked at Blue for 2 days I have been to busy and fed her and had to take care of the dogs I am babysitting. I did not see it...I feel sick to my stomach but what do I do???

Are scales sticking out.
Epson salt baths and a bacterial med.
Stop feeding for a few days.

Try changing the water, and stop feeding for 24 hours at least. I do not believe there is medicine available.

as suggested above, try epsom salt baths. short term dips can last to 30 minutes - the dosage is 1 tbsp per gallon. you should also get a bacterial med like maracyn 1/2. whatever you do, don't add aquarium salt, as this will worsen the dropsy.
