I have some blue green algae in my tank atm. How do i get rid of it?

1.3wpg, no c02, no fert in any form.

Thanks

50% water change, hoover up as much of it as possible and clean the filter
3 day blackout - turn CO2 off
50% water change and clean filter

Either that or use antibiotics which you can get from America via t'internet

Sam's suggestion will work. However you need to address the cause of the BGA to prevent reoccurance.

In my experience it is caused by one or more likely a combination of the following. Poor water circulation, inefficient bio-fliter, low nitrates (unlikey in a non-CO2 tank), excess natural light, stale substrate, poor maintenance regime, under planting.

Antobiotics will work too but are expensive and will not address the cause as suggested.
