Blue German Ram Won't Leave Its Reflection Alone.

Picked up a female Blue German Ram, (still looking for a nice young male) and since entering the tank its spent most of its time going mad at its reflection.

Shes only been in the tank a few days, so I'm hoping she will get bored, but shes taking it quite seriously..

Are you sure its female? I have seen males have a go at their reflection but not females?. My now lone male does it from time to time

Pretty certain, it has the blue breaks in the black line down its side. Also has a much pinker stomach, not much yellow.

Sounds like she wants a male! fish are so odd sometimes.

you could try taking the mirror away?

I think the mirror is just part of the glass, had a go covering it with on the outside of the tank but the reflection on the inside is still there.

Yeah I think I will try and hurry my search for a male.

I was worried she was getting mad over another female (her reflection) in her space.

the fish can't see the reflection that we can see when we look into the tank
