I was lookin at my tank and noticed that one of my female guppies (Moesha) has a red blotch under her mouth. No new fish since in January and some baby guppies born in Feb. I got some new plants yesterday. Nothing lilke this has happened before. HELP PLEASE

Umm i dunno what type of injury it is. Its just like...i dont know how to explain in. It isnt perfectly round it looks like maybe if u get cut and bleed, but its trapped under her scales (i feel dumb. fish dont have scales they have....sumthin...).

The tank is a 20 gal with a ton of baby guppies i gotta sell, 4 B-FT, 4 L-ET, 2 GloFish, 2 male guppies and two other female guppies. Oh and Scrubs the algae eater. And Hobbes the hatchetfish. I think thats all.... :S Does that help?

Fish do have scales. Well, most of them do: loaches and some other species are an exception.

Are the plants plastic? If so she may have cut/bruised herself as some plastic plants are quite hard.

How is she now, is it a red bloody patch or just a red patch.

umm go 2 troysabo.tripod.com and then go 2 the pets section. Its the fish in the middle.
