Bloody Lfs

Hi all bought a choc gourami last week, lovely fish. The thing is i have a tall tank and was looking for a centre piece fish.
The bloodey man in my lfs told me they get to the size of other gouramis.
Now i have just found out that these beautifull fish only grow to a max of 1 3/4 2 inch. Not really a centre piece fish as it is hard to see in my tank.

Rambling over, what i am getting at is haw daft some lfs staff are

And for the future I hope you look into more than one resource before getting a fish that you don't know anything about.
Talk to the LFS, come home and do your own research.

don't be too dissapointed,you have beautiful little fish on your hands.just ask ludwig venter,he's searching hell and high water for some.and i absolutely love watching mine.

ooops, thats your fault, sure we have all done it, i have anyway... now you will need a new tank and a new centrepiece fish

I am getting a new tank soon, moving all my tropics into it. i dont mind the fish they are nice to look at, the only thing is that this is the only time my lfs has had them. I would love to get more of them, just dont think lfs is getting anymore in.

u most make sure u look up research, a mistake which u wont forget, as lfs is not reliable.

Chocolate gouramis can be quite sensitive to keep.
