Bloodworm and African Cichlids

Afternoon !

I have a Red Zebra Cichlid and a Black Calvus. I read somewhere you shouldnt feed some African Cichlids with Bloodworm. Is that right and will mine be Okay on it cos they love it.

It will kill mbuna like your Zebra. Calvus would otherwise be ok.

As Freddyk said, bloodworms can cause malawi bloat and kill your fish. Lake Tanganyikan cichlids and New worlds are ok I think but only occasionally not as a main food. Someone will say if I'm wrong.
