Hi

I just got some live bloodworm for my new HM.
Now he isn't eating much but theres quite afew on bottom and they are wriggleing into the gravel >.<

Is this normal?

12 bloodworms sounds like more than a single betta feeding to me. They have very tiny stomachs (once told their stomachs are as big as their eyes, literally, not sure if that is true).

I normally feed one or two bloodworms at a time.

I throw 5-7 defrosted ones in for mine, but i have a ghost shrimp cleanup crew. If they are alive i wouldn't be worried other than them hatching

Are you sure these are bloodworms and not blackworms? The names around my area get mixed up. I would say 7 worms is a good number, i like my betta on the fatter side(they work it off by flaring at each other for like 10 minutes 2 times a day). If its live worms, you dont really have to worry about overfeeding too much because they will live in the water so you dont have to worry about them polluting the water.
