Blood In The Fin

One of my white skirt tetra's has blood in his fin. For about a month before this he had a white spot, instead of the red like in the picture I have uploaded below.

Sorry for the poor picture, but obviously the red resembes where the blood is.

Corys are very prone to bacterial infections and the whitespot on the fin was bacterial, it has now turned into septicemia and is very hard to cure once it has progressed, the fish wants issolating and you will need a strong antibiotic to save the fish.

What kind of strong anitbiotic brand would you reccomend? A popular one would be better.

Don't no your location but if in the states you have excess to tetracycline but it will wipe the bacteria colony out in the filter, that why it best to issolate.

I live in Canada. My LFS doesn't sell very many antibiotics, I highly doubt they'll have it. Am I hopeless then?

Maracyn one and two then should be able to get them, good luck.
