I have a problem with a White Skirt Tetra. From this example, I will show you what is going on.

The red of course is blood. I think it may be an internal bacterial infection. What should I treat this with? Sorry, I don't have stats in Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates, or PH at the moment. I will get them after I do a water change today.

Also, my water turned orange from when I used these blocks to hold down my driftwood. I boiled them first, so I thought they would be good. Hopefully the water change will solve the orange water, because I am going away for 5 days.

It might be handier to do the stats before the water change rather than after (or both) - this'll give a clearer picture of what's happening :)

Full stock list of fish in there.
Looks like septicemia to me can you isolate the fish as it will need a strong bacterial med to stand a chance, as once septicemia has progressed there no cure.

If you are in the US, i would try to get Kanacyn (aka kanamycin, k-mycin). I have used it to treat septcemia in the past and had good results. Also, now would be the time to test your water, and post teh stats here (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH).

Since you are going out of town, is there anyone who you can get to look after your fish, as it will be needing daily medicine added to the tank?

I cannot get the medicine soon I don't think. :( I will look at LFS later. My stats will be here later.

He will die if you don't start treating now, so i would get the med, and get your test results as well, tell them to write the readings down for you.
Septicemia is blood poisoning, not something to take lightly.
