Blood blister looking spot

Hi Folks

One of my remaing silver mollies has what looks like a blood blister / bruise on its right gill flap - I`ve tried looking in my books but can find no reference to anything that matches it.

The fish are fine and my water parameters are okay.

Any ideas anyone?

hi ive got 2 silver mollies and they are doing fine im not sure what blister you are talking about it might be just a bite that is healing.
my 2 silver mollies were bright silver when i had them but 1 of them has gone darker has this happened to you?

Can you see any parasites on the gill.

I can`t see any parasites - just this "spot" it seemed to be healing but now it`s gone blood red again ? fresh bleed - but the fish seems to be okay.

My male silver molly changes from a silver to a silver with brownish broken lines on it from time to time - I suspect it`s when he`s ready for breeding as he always then pesters the female (nudging them)

It sounds like it could be a parasite is the fish heavy breathing or flicking and rubbing against objects, I would do a salt bath on the affected fish and add some melafix to the tank.
