Bloated Stomachs

I bought some nutrafin max spirulina cichlid sticks and fed my fish today and now they have bloated stomachs ive fed them everyday on flake but noticed after this mornings feed that 3 of them have very bloated stomachs is this over feeding or the sticks??? What should i do fast them for a couple of days?

I would hold back on the feeding for a day or 2. Mbuna will eat continuously if you let them so put them on a diet.

hold back for a day or two BUT.. next time you go to feed the sticks or any PELLETS make sure you

PRESOAK them in tank water. (good use for old foodcan lids)

when mbuna or any cichlid for that matter eats dry pellets or sticks, they are dry but when mixing with stomach/tank water they expand. Presoaking expands them BEFORE eating there for the fish are full faster and by a safer route!!.

I feed mine twice a day but small amounts.

What would you class as a small amount im new to big fish also what was the flake you said to get the only food i could get with spirulina in was nutrafin max spirulina cichlid sticks

Tetra Pro Vegetable.

Its impossible to describe the amount to feed but i give them roughly enough for them to eat within 1 minute maximum.
