Well, I have a hatchet that was attacked by a giant danio, and he took a bunch of hits at the base (top) of the Caudal fin. Right where it will re-open every time that he tries to use his tail fin.... So, her is currently in a quarantine tank, and for the last five days I have been treating with Maracyn 2. Yesterday, I began double dosing, and gave a 25 minute epsom salt bath (1 tablespoon / gallon) The salt bath made no discernable difference, and he is still swollen, possibly starting to pinecone. I am starting to lose hope for this guy, and I really want him to pull through, as he is one of my first fish. Water is good, and its a ten gallon with a penguin 200 on it.
Also, I noticed some ghost poo about 5 nights ago, though I have seen no re-occurance. I havent seen him poo normally either, but I rarely see them poo to begin with. That was when I moved him to quarantine, so I could begin medications.
BTW, I am in the USA, so any meds might need UK to USA translations...
