Thank you to all who can help me.
I have a 16 Gallon tank, completely cycled, all levels are normal and all fish are doing well, except the Blue Danio.
Even then, it is just on site of him/her that he/she seems to not be well. He/she swims around normally, not tilting or seeming to have any trouble other than a ginormous belly. I haven't noticed anything protruding from the anus that I can recall, other than a white dot, I assumed it was poop just starting - so maybe a worm? I haven't seen it since.
I stopped feeding for 2 days and it hasn't seemed to do any good, except to lessen the "notched" on top of his/her head. After he/she eats, the belly gets so big that it pulls and creates a notch just on top and behind the eye. I know at feeding time, he/she eats more than he/she should, which is why I stopped feeding for 2 days - but again the belly is still large.
I will try feeding a few peas - he/she will definitely get to them first. He/she is a ham in front of the camera...probably thinks I am going to feed him/her!
Take a look and please let me know if he/she looks to be normal. I also think that I need to get a larger tank and more Danio...maybe that will cut down on the amount of food that he/she is able to consume. The other fish are not vultures and tend to hang out at the middle to bottom. He/she has free rein at the top...although the female Betta that I put in may give him/her a run for his/her money.
EDIT: I have found out what it could be and what to do about each one by reading other posts. I would like it if you can look at the photos and let me know if he looks abnormal or if this is normal for a growing Danio. I have read the female have larger stomachs??? I am thinking that it is internal parasites.
Should I treat the whole tank or quarantine this fish?
