Blind Plecostomus

I just had a look in the fish tank while feeding my cichlids. I noticed that my pleco has been acting strange today and upon further inspection there are two orifices on his head where his eyes used to be. Did my cichlids eat his eyes? I feel so sorry for the little guy, I introduced a small catfish into the tank, should I be worried about him also? My pleco and cat are twice the size of my cichlids and I'm feeding them regularly, 6 times a week. What do I do from here? I feel SO bad...

What other fish do you have? I had loaches do that to some fish of mine. They were, shall we say, removed.
I hope you get this sorted because that is bloody awful.

I have overstocked the tank with Cichlids (I have 46 1-2 inches long), I thought I wouldn't get this problem if I kept them entertained with each other, territorial issues, aggression etc. It's dark here, I don't want to disturb them while they rest. I will post a picture if it can provide a solution to the problem.
