Blech--mucous Blobs

I'm doing a mini-cycle since upgrading tanks, and during the last couple of days I've noticed a few little blobs of a mucous-like substance on the gravel and driftwood. I'm vacuuming them up, etc., but wonder what they are. Algae? I don't think I'm overfeeding.

do you have live plants? it's possible they are snail eggs.

No live plants--I'm not that skilled!

is it sort of slimey white stuff - cos you can get that on bogwood when its newly added to a tank
if it is get an apple snail they will eat it off for you - they love the disgusting stuff

.....or you could just leave it and it will disappear itself.

If it is that, it is very common and nothing to worry about. It tends to look like white sludge (if that's a word )
