hey guys

ive just acquired a new tank that i plan to use as a quarantine tank. Turns out the previous owners decided to clean it out with bleach, has anybody got any ideas on wot to do with this tank to make it fit for use. Its only the tank because all the gear for the tank were thrown out so they are not a problem.

You can just rinse it well and use a double dose of dechorinator when you first fill it (always assuming it was bleach, and not Mr Muscle or something...).

It should be enough to rinse it, did they at least use unscented bleach? Filling the tank with vinegar and water will counteract any bleach residue, as would at least some dechlorinators (apparently).

Bleach in itself is not a problem, it is often recommended as the thing to disinfect new equipment.
