2 of my fish a pleco and a dempsey have what looks like bleached scales with some pinkish centers the sores are growing daily. the pleco has it real bad on his back just before his tailfin. can anyone tell me whats happening and how to stop it?

Need more info on size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph.
Where is the bleached patch.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Sounds like a severe bacterial infection.
Are they big round patches as ulcer are pink or red with a circling of dead skin around the edges.

75 gallon,2 plecos,1- 8"dempsey,1 pictus catfish and 4 silverdollers, ammonia,ph,nitrates are all fine. pleco was first to have small white, bleached looking scales on his back just before his tailfin, later developed same symptoms on tips of both pectoral fins, dempsey has smallspot in middle of his tailfin

Bleached out patches on fish can be columnaris to parasite, if no signs of flicking and rubbing I would treat it as bacterial.
Uk myxazin and pimafix, states maracyn one and two.
