So here goes, had this running for about 4 weeks now with fish and thought I'd chuck some pictures at you.
My fish list:
4 x Metriaclima Estherae - Minos Reef - 3m/1f
3 x Cynotilapia Afra - Minos Reef - 2m/1f (I think)
3 x Cynotilapia sp. Hara - Gallireya Reef - 3m (I think)
3 x Labidochromis caeruleus (White Lab) - Nkhata Bay - no idea on sex
3 x Labidochromis sp. "Mbamba" - Mbamba Bay - 2m/1f (I think)
3 x Pseudotropheus Flavus - 2m/1f (I think)
6 x Pseudotropheus Saulosi - 2m/4f
2 x BN
Tank details:
All pond solutions 330l 4ft tank
All pond solutions external filter 2000l/h
All pond solutions tank hood filter 900l/h
Sunsun Wave maker
2x 300w Heaters
18kg Caribsea black sand
Rock: Various Green/Blue/Brown rock slate and paddlestones
This is how the tank started:
This was the second rescape:
After various rescapes at weekly water changes here is where I am, most likely sticking with this for a while. All the rock is in the middle of the tank so the fish can swim around it. They no longer hide in the rocks (only at lights out) and they love the open water
Some pictures of my Mbuna
Metriaclima Estherae - Largest Male, finally starting to colour up
Metriaclima Estherae - Only Female, is much brighter orange than picture shows
Cynotilapia sp. Hara Gallireya Reef - Male, the peace maker
Labidochromis sp. "Mbamba" - Male, little terror causing havoc
Pseudotropheus Saulosi - Females, stunning colour (cost £1 each, bargain!)
Pseudotropheus Saulosi - Male (cost £1 each, bargain!)
Having had the tank up and running for 4 weeks with fish I can say that everything is going smoothly. The fact I already have a holding Cynotilapia Afra Minos Reef and a Labidochromis sp. Mbamba the tank conditions must be just right
Lets hope it stays that way.
I'll add pics as I get them, have to take about 50 pictures to get 1 decent 1!
