Blackwater Extract

Hi Folks

I have been given some stuff by a friend who is giving up the fish hobby. There is a bottle of blackwater extract by TetraAqua, has anybody tried this stuff with Bettas?

works ok, when spawning it helps make bubble nests sticker and encourages the bettas to spawn. what is much more cost effective is buying a bag of Indian almond leaf and throwing a leaf in the tank, it will leach the water brown.

blackwater extract is just Indian almond leaf boiled to a tea.

problem with the bottle stuff is there is so many things they add to it, and u cannot medicate the tank with it in

However if you boil up indian almond leaves or put one in the tank, you may still medicate at the same time

just a thought
