i was thinkin of buying blackskirt tetras and neons ... ???? will they be okay together? blackskirt tetras are kinda big, comparing to neons!!! will that be any trouble? :fish:
thnx for any reply! ;)

to be honest, i would say you had enough fish in the 20 already.

Hello, Aquagurl :)
Yes, the black skirts and the neons will do great together. I have kept them together in my 75G, and in a 35G, and had no problems.

 IF you decide to get the blackskirt tetras, they have a reputation to be a little nippy so I would watch out for your gouramis. And in such a small space, I wouldn't doubt they would chew someone up. I think your 20 gallon is full as it is, especially with all that fry that will grow up.

I have 6 black skirt tetras and 10 tiger barbs and I think my 55 gallon is stocked with just them.

In a twenty u should be fine, but when i put a couple black skirt tetras in my other 10gal (during cleaning) the Black skirts would chase around and nip at the neons and guppies.

In a 20 with more room u might be ok. What about just more of yur red eye tetras?

Yea I would go with bulking up your schools. Like maybe add some more danios and tetras to your groups. My black skirt tetras are about 2 inches now and like LOTS of swimming room. I wouldn't get them IMO.

I have kept black skirt tetras with neons and other tetras in a 10 gallon before and I would say they got along fine. I find it is the gouramis that nip and chase the other fish away.
Instead of them though, why not get 4 more zebra danios, and 5 more red-eye tetras?
