Black Speckled Leaves On Java Fern

I have 2 java ferns. One is nice and green, and the other came with black patches all over the leaves. It's not like brown when leaves die, but black. What is this and how do I get rid of it? It's not as attractive, but all the ferns I have seen in shops always have these patches except for the other nice one I have.

Does anybody have any info on this? I thought it might be a simple thing to answer, as it's about java ferns.

i think my Java has the same and i just presumed it was where a snail had eaten part of it or something? Its not the prettiest thing to look at really. It never seems to look as bad in pictures as it does in real life aswell
