Black SKirts

Took a good look at my 6 black skirts in my 10gal today and noticed something different with them. They didnt seem as lively as normally. I fed them frozen blood worms and they gobbled them up well.

Most all, but not all, have a kinda cotten "wool like growth" all over them. It doesnt look that bad, and its not all over them. There also seems to be a few white spots here and there on a few of them. I think im lookin at some ick and some fungus?

I just did a 20% water change. Ive got some fungus medicine that i can put in now, but wont be able to have ich meds till tomorrow.

Seems to be some parasites? hanging off a couple of them too. I added the fungus eliminator stuff. I dont see what i could be doing wrong with this tank... Its been establised for well over a year, and the 6 skirts have been living great for the last 2 weeks. Weekley water changes, and every other is gravel vac... im lost...

Can you describe the parasite that's hanging off them.

In the first link, thats not really what the fuzzy white growth looked like. It was a lot thinner and spread out. It seems to have cleared up a lot since last night, but there is more ick now. ... Ill pick up some ick treatment today and see how it goes.

There only looked to be two-three of these little strands of stuff hanging off of a few fins of one or two of the black skirts.

If it's fluffy and wispy it's fin fungus you will need the fungus med, just wanted to make sure it wasn't columnaris, I think you can get second infections with whitespot, good luck.

WHAT THE HECK!?!? came home today after school, and picking up some ick and fungus meds... and they all look like total crap. Half their back fins are like rotted away, and their covered in ick!

Did 20% water change and added some an ick med i got. Hopefully it works if their not too far gone...

I do not see how they got like this. They were totally fine for the first two weeks i had them, then bam! in one and a half days they turn completely bad! what the heck was i doing wrong?!?!
