Black Sand

im looking for black sand for my new tank, it will have 10 serpae, 1 pleco and 6 - 10 (not sure if thats too many for a 90L) albino corys. all i can find black sand wise is unipac and moon sand but they seem to be more like gravel... is this ok for corys? is there actually black sand for sale anywhere? cant find anything on ebay... help please bit frustrated, want to get going on this one lol. thanks

I've looked for black sand and I'm so far unsucessful but I'm still looking

However becareful when buying plecos; a lot of them get very big

oh i have my two already, they are supposed to be snowballs and stay under 8 inch. ive looked at a lot of pics im still undecided if they arent large spot... then i think, no snowballs... etc
so do you know of any dark sand colours/makes i could use?

let hope they stay small then

I've yet to find any sadly, i may just have to go with normal coloured sand, but I'll let you know if i do come up with anything

just checked the list and they come up at 6.4inch, the tanks are long, i think its gonna be fine

there's nothing wrong with the tone of what i posted and your opening post doesn't make it clear that this is for an upgrade to the 90l

What filter you running? i had a 6inch pleco in a 90L and my filter didn't handle it too well, tank wasn't stocked much either.

Wasn't anything wrong with @ombomb post either imo. Was just simply asking if you had 2 plecs in a 90L and if so, they'd need a new home.

you can buy any colorated sand from this place in san diego via online...shipping may be a bit heavy depends on the size of your tank..

and corys will do just fine in gravel or sand..

just google the place and i am sure you will find one!

to be clear:

your opening post mentions a "new tank" and then "not sure if thats too many for a 90L"

my assumption therefore is that the "new tank" is the "90L" which is too small for a plec, much too small for two

apparently this is not the case and the new tank is an upgrade to replace the 90L
