Hi

Have a biube along with my bigger tank which im changing into a shrimp tank.

Im removing the bubble tube filter etc and have replaced it with my own internal filter.

Im currenbtly changing the substrate from the rocky material to black sand/gravel

Does anyone know any good online retailers or cheap suppliers in the UK?

Any help appreciated

Does it have to be Black sand ? if not this is great SAND As with all substrates will need a clean but fantastically good and free from toxins and other foreign objects!

Thanks for the reply, yeah im on the look out for black, as it will bring out the colour of the shrimp.

I use Argos play sand in my Rio 180, and I also recommend it, thanks anyway

I found somewhere which supplies black play sand. It's expensive for play sand but it's cheaper than Tahitian Moon Sand.

If money is not an issue, which probably isn't considering you are only using it in an orb, the Tahitian Moon Sand is the way to go. Just google it and you will find many suppliers.

Ive got fine black gravel in my tank, got it it P@H, have a look at my tank in the tank of the month winners gallery for an idea of how it looks. I did mix in a bit of white gravel but theres no need to.
